THIS IS THE SYMBOL FOR CHURCH EPHESUS AS IN THE ARMOUR OF GOD. EPHESIAN CHAPTER 6:11-17

MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN CHURCHES OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION-EPHESUS

The mystery of the seven churches is not the mystery of the churches of Asia, but the movement and growth of the Church from its birth, and its maturity that would follow in the years to come. It’s amazing how our Heavenly Father prepared the Revelation and gave it to John, that it creates an impact on humanity, leaving the world and the man of perdition in great despair.

Learn and understand for yourselves about this great mystery mentioned within the Book of Revelation, and note that the mystery did not centre on the churches of Asia, but the eras (advents) of the Church of the living Yahweh (God). Of course, the mystery begins with the Church (Ephesus) of Asia, being as an example to the mission, but the Church its warning continued through the advents and growth of the Church, and its reproof towards maturity and perfection.

One of the most amazing mysteries about the detail distance of the churches on the map, was the positions of the churches plotted showing the number “7” lying in a prostrate form. Mystically, I believed that the idea to plot the map of the churches, as if it was bowing, indicates reverence and submission. I considered it a divine way of indicating to the churches that there is only one Master and Father of infallibility within the Kingdom of Yah (Jah).

To understand about the “Church” and its advents, one must first recognizes the Whole Armour of the Elshaddai that had mentioned in the Book of the Ephesians. The chapter gives great understanding about the pursuit and corrections on the seven advents of the Church, which represents the stages of the Church from its beginning to the present and hereafter.

Many have disputed the letter within the “Book of Ephesians”, saying that the letter was a directive to the Laodiceans. However, there are no concrete proof to disregard its directive to the body of Christ.  In fact, it would be natural that all churches of Yahweh (God) could receive blessings from such directive and instructions.

Ephesians 6:10-17 says “…be ye strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of god, that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. wherefore take unto you the whole armour of god, that he may be able to withstand in the evil days, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; your feet shod…Above all, taking the shield of faith…and take the helmet of salvation…”

THIS IMAGE IS A FEATURE OF THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS 6:10-17. THIS ILLUSTRATION IS SHOWING THE DETAILED OF THE ARMOUR OF YHWH (GOD) IN CONTRAST WITH THE MESSAGE OF JOHN TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES.

The seven churches and their  mysteries were symbolically represented in the Book of Ephesians chapter six showing detailed analyses indicating the Whole Armour of Yahweh (God). By viewing fig. 2 (the armour and its features) in contrast with the prophetic and mysterious warning of the churches, we will understand the representative of the seven advents from the first stage of the Church to its perfect hour.

During Christ walk in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, with favourable attention, He realises the Church weaknesses that was duly encouraged by some apostate leaders. Therefore, He relates to John in this fashion and gave him these messages with supervisory restriction to the angels (stars) of these churches.

The messages were directive to the angels of the churches, but that does not mean that it was pointing to a particular person that stands within that (a) particular church. This could simply be an expression for the need of a specific attention from anyone at that time during such era. Angels are a force placed to watch time (moment) and space (emptiness). They also presented the format of submission for an individual to adjust for the hour of perfection in this regard. Therefore, these angels are not necessarily a specific person, but an active force at a particular time to warn the vessels (Yahweh’s children) that are in trouble (spiritually week).

THE HELMET OF SALVATION (Church Ephesus)

“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;” (KJV) Revelation 2:1

This is the head of the image, which symbolized the first principles of the oracles and the word of Yahweh (God). This was the era of the early church from John the Baptist in the year 29 AD, although some may have taken its beginning from the year Barjona (now called Peter) represented the Rock.

The First Church (Ephesus commenced 29 – 180 AD): Many relate to the word Ephesians as to the meaning of the word desirable, but a more suitable word in this context is the word zeal.

There have been a few persecutions during this era of the Church, which had no effect physically throughout the Roman Empire. During this period of the Church, the initiative of the Pax Romana brought peace in certain aspect, but became at a halt at the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, 180 AD.

In fig. 2, the Helmet of salvation is one of the most important things about the Armour of Yahweh (God), which in this case is the power of the Word. The Scripture encourages one to study the Word (principles of YHWH) to show submission, which would, in the event, gives that spiritual strength and growth after one’s baptism.

During the sitting of the Last Passover before Christ’s betrayal, after he had given them bread, He indicated a new age  of the gospel, saying,

“Take; eat; this is my body,… and after the same manner also he took the cup … saying this cup is the New Testament in my blood”.

All that is to say, Christ wanted His Church to live by His Word (principles set), and those words are the true gospel of the NT. The main gospel of the NT indicates Christ as the Son of Yahweh (God,) and that His death should bind us in Him, and remove the ordinances of the law. For that reason, we should make sure to cloak ourselves with that helmet to protect us from heresies and Antichrist.

Labour, Patience, False Apostle (apostasy) and Liars (Rev. 2:2)

Some of the apostles were trying hard to keep steadfast in faith, but there were a few seeking different spiritual need. These set crossed over to the faith of Balaam and practised works of deceit, which became an obstacle against the spiritual anxiety of those who were willing to move forward in Christ.

Rev. 2:2: “I know thy works , labour and patience… hast tried them which says they are apostles , and are not , and hast found them liars”

1st John 2:22 says “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is an Antichrist, that denieth Father and Son.”

The Book of 1st John indicated that many church leaders and their followers accepted the teaching of Antichrist. The book of 1st John declares that they (apostate leaders) were once disciples of the Church, but went preaching doctrines of deceit denying that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Christ.

The Ephesians era of the Church was a labouring to serve the Lord, but some among them follow heresies and fables (1st Timothy 1:3, 4). Paul, even in his letter to Timothy who was at Ephesus, also warned the Ephesians to stick to the principles of the faith (1st Timothy 3:15, 15). Paul words reminds the Ephesians about the words of Christ to Peter, which says that he would build this house upon that rock (Matt. 16:16-19). This rock represents the core principle and foundation of the Church,   confessing that Christ, who was in flesh, is the Son of YHWH.

Left Their First Love (Rev. 2:4)

Revelation 2:4, 6 indicated that Christ main issues against this candlestick (Ephesus) were that they had left their “first love,” and that they should remember from whence they “had fallen, and repent, and do the first work…” It is clear that Christ was telling the Ephesians to return to the principle of the first stage in seeking the spirit of the Messiah, and patterned the zeal the Church had in the beginning.

The recommendation was that the brethren should cast their love unto Him (the Messiah) by refraining from loving the things of the world. Any man who loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. How be it, Paul indicated that the apostles should stay in the love of Christ and His word. In fact, whosoever hath not the first love, would not continue in the love of the Son and the Father, but would prove an Antichrist denying that Yeshua is the Christ (1st john 2:22-2)

Weakened (Rev. 2:3)

How does this suffice one to return to their “first love,” the beginning of the first principles of salvation, when they should move to perfection?

The Ephesians surely must have weakened because of the apostasy that surrounds them, and in so doing drifted from the first principles of the doctrine of Christ. Hebrew 5:12 says,

“For when, for the time he ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teaches you again, which are the first principles of the oracles of God…”

The Ephesian was like babes losing their grip on the fullness of Christ when they should move ahead from the first principles and becomes perfect… (Hebrews 6:1).

The Nicolaitans (Rev. 2:6)

The Nicolaitans (Greek – “Nikolaos” meaning to conquer and subdues the people”) were some sect that worship among the Christian of Ephesus, who began to teach fables, and lead other to blasphemy, and eat food sacrifice to idols. The Nicolaitans were looked upon as followers of Nicolas who was a proselyte at Antioch. Proselytes are not of Jewish descent, and usually of the practices of paganism. Irenaeus,  in his “adverse against heresy,” have associated the Nicolaitans with Nicolas, the deacon, who after his conversion to Christianity, said to have becomes an apostate leader trying to filtrate paganism into Christianity (read Acts 6:5). The Nicolaitans encourage the intertwined of various religion, which they as people are a custom. This intertwining was not acceptable in the sight of YHWH, as the Scripture says,

“that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.”

Therefore, Christ warned His people not to falter but hold strong until he comes.

Benefits for overcomers (Rev. 2:7)

Did the Ephesians continue to list themselves as weak (borne) vessels, or did they went ahead to their first love and take part of the tree of life, that is the word of YHWH?

Church Ephesus was under strain to keep their candle a light because there were signs of the work of the Nicolaitans, even in the 3rd century where apostate elders encouraged their members to practise Roman rituals, eating meats offered to the idols. Another act, similar to the Nicolaitans, came after Constantine announced Christianity as Roman religion in the 4th century, whereby paganism embedded in Christianity, fostering Satanism.

Was Church Ephesus rooted out of its place, as to the warning the Scripture pointed out?

“…I will come quickly and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” (Rev. 2:5).

On that note, one must understand that this warning was not only to the Church in Ephesus, but also to all churches from that era until now that practise the works of the Nicolaitans.  Yes, the Almighty will root them out on that day of judgement.

One thought on “MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN CHURCHES OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION-EPHESUS”

  1. When one read of the Church Ephesus and their hatred for the nicholiatians, it shows thew concerns for a well developed Christian beliefs and a firm desire to keep steadfasdt in Christ and his Principles. Yet, the Ephesians forget their “FIRST LOVE” and turned away from the first principle of Christ (His Holy Words and His Commandments). Church Ephesus, as in this time, began to live the life of the people (like Nicoliatans) leaving the principles of the “first love”, worshipping paganism and practising their Laws.
